 Our show for October 12th - 17th 2009 is 

   'The Likes of Us'

by Sir Tim Rice & Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The show,written over 40 years ago, was the first collaboration by this team and it has been made available to amateur companies prior to plans for a West End run.

The story focuses on the efforts of Dr. Barnardo to help underpriviledged children in the middle of the nineteenth century and the hope is that this release will help this organisation both locally and nationally. See also Behind the Scenes

   24 hour 'Singathon'

Our charity 'Singathon' at our regular venue of New Meeting Church Hall, Church Street, Kidderminster, started at 10:00am on Saturday 27th June and ran till 10:00am Sunday 28th June. It was a truly successful and uplifting event with nearly all company members putting in some time along the way. 'Five star' roles were played by about twenty members who stayed throughout the night to ensure that we met the conditions laid down for the event and ensuring that we completed the course in fine style. It was particularly pleasing that the younger generation were so generous and enthusiastic.

Special sessions took place in the Swan Centre, and at the Town Hall. Collections by Barnardo people at these times raised nearly three hundred pounds and all our sponsorship money is yet to be finalised. Hopefully, also, everybody in Wyre Forest is now aware of our plans to perform, 'The Likes of Us' this coming October !!!

The current estimate for this fund raising event is £1500.00 !!!
